<br />7. Insurance. Permittee shall furnish to the City public liability and <br />property damage insurance naming the City of Redwood City, its Council, <br />boards, commissions, officers, employees, and agents as insureds, or <br />additional insureds, insuring the same against all claims for person"al injury or <br />death to any person or persons resulting or arising from the conducting of the <br />activities herein permitted, or alleged to have resulted or alleged to have arisen <br />therefrom, or from any act or omission to act, of Permittee in connection <br />therewith, in the amounts of $500,000 for each person and $1,000,000 for each <br />occurrence, and property damage insurance for damage or injury to, or <br />destruction of property, including the loss of use thereof, in the amount of <br />$500,000. Evidence of such insurance coverage in form satisfactory to the City <br />shall be furnished by Permittee to the City at least ten (10) days prior to <br />commencement of the event. <br /> <br />8. Damage to Public Property. Permittee shall reimburse the City for the <br />costs for any damages to City owned property in the vicinity of the designated <br />route, caused by or arising out of, the conducting of the "REDWOOD SHORES <br />BIATHLON" permitted hereunder, or the acts, or omissions to act, of persons <br />participating in said event. All signs or other markings placed in or upon public <br />property, including the public right-of-way in connection with said "REDWOOD <br />SHORES BIATHLON" shall be removed immediately following said event. <br /> <br />9. Compliance With Laws. Permittee shall comply with all appropriate <br />and applicable rules, regulations and laws in connection with the conducting of <br />said event, or any activities associated therewith. This permit shall be in <br />addition to all other permits which are or may be required for conducting the <br />"REDWOOD SHORES BIATHLON", or any associated activity. <br /> <br />10. Hold Harmless. Permittee shall assume the defense of and <br />indemnify and save harmless the City of Redwood City, its Council, officers, <br />boards, commissions, employees and agents from all suits, actions, damages, <br />or claims to which the City may be subjected of any kind or nature whatsoever, <br />resulting from or arising out of the performance or failure to perform of Permittee <br />hereunder, or otherwise arising from or arising out of said Race, or any activities <br />herein permitted. <br /> <br />11. Additional Matters. Additional or further matters not herein described <br />,or contemplated in connection ~ith the "REDWOOD SHORES BIATHLON" shall <br />not be effectuated without the prior written consent of the Chief of Police. <br /> <br />2 <br /> <br />11105 <br />
