<br />(7/15/89) <br /> <br />ORIGINAL <br /> <br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N N o. 1111 7 <br /> <br />AU6 2 1 1989 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF <br />AGREEMENT WITH lA CASA de SAN MATEO (SAN MATEO BATTERED WOMEN'S <br />SHELTER). <br /> <br />WHEREAS, La Cas a de San Mateo (San Mateo Battered Women's Shelter) <br />has been established for the principal purpose of providing shelter and <br />support services to battered women and their children in San Mateo <br />County; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, la Cas de San Mateo has requested financial assistance <br /> <br />for use by it in conducting its activities during the fiscal year <br /> <br />commencing July 1, 1989 and ending June 30, 1990; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Redwood City has reviewed said requests and <br />desires to pay to La Casa de San Mateo (San Mateo Battered Women's <br /> <br />Shelter) the sum of SEVEN-THOUSAND, FIVE-HUNDRED AND NO/I00 DOllARS <br />($7,500.00); and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, there has been presented to this Council for approval an <br /> <br />agreement between the City of Redwood City and la Casa de San Mateo (San <br />Mateo Battered Women's Shelter and it is the intention and desire of <br /> <br />this Council to approve the same; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, AS <br />FOllOWS: <br />
