<br />CES:d~~ 09/13/89 (073/#25) <br /> <br />SEP 2 5 1989 <br /> <br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N <br /> <br />N o. 11156 <br /> <br />ORIGfNAL <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AWARDING BID FOR THE PURCHASE OF THIRTEEN <br />(13) VEHICLES; AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF PURCHASE <br />DOCUMENTS THEREFOR <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Manager called for bids for the purchase <br /> <br />of Thirteen (13) vehicles for various city departments; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to said call, Four(4) bids were received <br /> <br />for the purchase of these vehicles; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Fremont Ford, Newark, California, is the lowest <br /> <br />responsive bidder and it is the intention and desire of this <br /> <br />Council to award said bid to Fremont Ford, of Newark, California <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE; BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br /> <br />REDWOOD CITY, AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />1. The bid of Fremont Ford, Newark, California, in the sum <br /> <br />of One Hundred and Sixty-seven Thousand Eight and 01/100 Dollars <br /> <br />($167,008.01), computed in accordance with bidder's proposal <br />dated August 29, 1989, for the sale of Thirteen (13) vehicles for <br /> <br />various City departments is hereby accepted and said bidder is <br /> <br />hereby found and declared to be the lowest responsible for said <br /> <br />vehicles. <br /> <br />2. The City Manager is hereby authorized and directed to <br /> <br />enter into and execute on behalf of the City of Redwood City all <br /> <br />appropriate and necessary documents for the purchase of said <br /> <br />vehicles in accordance with the abovementioned bid proposal, a <br /> <br />copy of which proposal is presently on file in the office of the <br />
