('! !\~H\L Ii'\ i\.:.l I 'i,~ RESOLUTION APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF AGREEMENT WITH LIPMAN INSURANCE ADMINISTRATORS, INC., FOR SET-UP AND ADMINISTRATION OF A FLEXIBLE BENEFIT PLAN FOR CITY EMPLOYEES WHEREAS, the City of Redwood City, a municipal corporation of the State of California, ("City"), intends to establish and administer a flexible benefits plan for its employees; and WHEREAS, Lipman Insurance Administrators, Inc. ("Contract Administrator") , is presently engaged in the business of developing and managing flexible benefit plans; and WHEREAS, City hereby finds that Contract Administrator is specially experienced and competent to administer a flexible benefit plan; and WHEREAS, the Contract Administrator has developed a flexible benefits plan that incorporates professional material and internally developed information;and WHEREAS, Contract Administrator has represented to City that it is qualified and willing to administer such a flexible benefits plan; and WHEREAS, City and Contract Administrator desire to enter into an agreement whereby the Contract Administrator will establish and administrate a flexible benefits plan for City's employees; and WHEREAS, there has been presented to this Council for approval an agreement between the City of Redwood City and Lipman Insurance Administrators, Inc., retroactive from October l, 1989, and effective until July 31, 1990, and it is the intention and desire of this Council to approve the same;
