<br />CES:djm ~/3l/89 (095/#41) <br /> <br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N <br /> <br />NOV 1 3 1989 <br />11180 <br /> <br />ORIGfNP\l <br /> <br />N o. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF <br />AGREEMENT WITH PALO ALTO PLAYERS, FOR IMPROVEMENTS TO <br />THE FIRE SPRINKLER SYSTEM AT THE FOX THEATRE <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Palo Alto Players ("Company"), is presently engaged <br /> <br />in the operation of the Fox Theatre, desires to complete <br /> <br />improvements to the facility to ensure the health and safety of <br /> <br />residents of the City of Redwood City, California, a municipal <br /> <br />corporation ("City"); and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Company has requested financial assistance in order <br /> <br />to complete said improvements during the fiscal year commencing <br /> <br />July l, 1989, and ending June 30. 1990; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, City has reviewed said request and desires to <br /> <br />allocate to the Company the sum of Twenty-Five Thousand and <br /> <br />No/100 Dollars ($25,000.00) from its Community Development Block <br /> <br />Grant funds; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, there has been presented to this Council for <br /> <br />approval an agreement between the City of Redwood City and Palo <br /> <br />Alto Players, and it is the intention and desire of this Council <br /> <br />to approve the same; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br /> <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />That certain agreement (form dated 10/13/89), by and between <br /> <br />the City of Redwood City and Palo Alto Players, a copy of which <br /> <br />agreement is on file in the office of the City Clerk, to which <br /> <br />copy reference is hereby made for full particulars thereof, is <br />
