<br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N <br /> <br />MJP: d j r 10/ 3l / 8 9 (100/ # 2 5) <br />ORIGiNAL <br /> <br />NOV 1 3 1989 <br /> <br />N o. <br /> <br />11183 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF <br />AGREEMENT FOR BASKETBALL OFFICIATING SERVICES (UMPIRE <br />SERVICES - RECREATIONAL PROGRAMS) <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Redwood City conducts basketball leagues <br /> <br />as part of its recreational program for the benefit of the <br /> <br />citizens of the City of Redwood City; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the operation of such basketball leagues requires <br /> <br />that umpires be selected, trained and scheduled to officiate at <br /> <br />such basketball games; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Redwood City Umpire's Association has represented <br /> <br />to the City that it has the personnel qualified to perform the <br /> <br />aforementioned duties and responsibilities; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, there has been presented to this Council an <br /> <br />agreement by and between the City of Redwood City and the Redwood <br /> <br />City Umpire's Association for the association to furnish City <br /> <br />with the aforesaid skills and services; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, it is the intention and desire of this Council to <br /> <br />approve said agreement and authorize its execution; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br /> <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />That certain agreement entitled "Agreement for Basketball <br /> <br />Officiating Services" <br /> <br />(form dated <br /> <br />/ <br /> <br />/ 8 9), by and between <br />
