[The following table of contents is informational only.] New Article IV, <br /> "State Video Service Franchises," is hereby added to Chapter 11 (Privately Owned Utilities) of <br /> the Municipal Code of the City of Redwood City: <br /> Article IV STATE VIDEO SERVICE FRANCHISES <br /> 11.70 Purpose <br /> 11.71 Rights reserved <br /> 11.72 Compliance with Article <br /> 11.73 Definitions <br /> 11.74 State Franchise Fees <br /> 11.75 PEG Fees <br /> 11.76 Payment of Fees <br /> 11.77 Audits <br /> 11.78 Late Payments <br /> 11.79 Lease of City-owned network <br /> 11.80 Customer service and consumer protection standards <br /> 11.81 Penalties for violations of standards <br /> 11.82 Construction in the public rights of way <br /> 11.83 Permits <br /> 11.84 Participation with other utilities <br /> 11.85 Underground Services Alert <br /> 11.86 Emergency Alert Systems <br /> 11.87 Interconnection for PEG Programming <br /> 11.88 Notices <br /> Sec.11.70 Purpose. <br /> This Article is applicable to all video service providers who are eligible for, and have <br /> been awarded, a state video franchise under the California Public Utilities Code section 5800, <br /> and following, (the Digital Infrastructure and Video Competition Act of 2006), to provide cable or <br /> video services in any portion of the City. <br /> Sec. 11.71 Rights reserved. <br /> The rights reserved to the City under this Article, are in addition to all other rights of the <br /> City whether reserved by this Article, or authorized by other applicable law, and no action, <br /> proceeding or exercise of a right shall affect any other rights which may be held by the City. <br /> Sec.11.72 Compliance with Article. <br /> Nothing contained in this Article exempts a state franchise holder from compliance with <br /> all ordinances, rules or regulations of the City now in effect or which may be hereafter adopted <br /> which are not inconsistent with this Article or California Public Utilities Code section 5800, and <br /> following, or obligations under any franchise previously issued by the City, insofar as those may <br /> be enforced under California Public Utilities Code section 5800. <br /> ATTY/ORD.360/DIVCA(CH 11 ART III) ORD.2387 <br /> REV:07-16-12 PT Page 2 of 7 FOMERLY MUFF#305 <br />
