ORDINANCE NO. 2410 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY AMENDING CHAPTER 41 OF THE CODE OF THE CITY REDWOOD CITY RELATING TO FLOODPLAIN MANAGEMENT NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. The City Council adopts the following findings: A. The Federal Emergency Administration (FEMA) produces Flood Insurance Rate Maps (FIRMs) and manages the National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP), of which the City of Redwood City is a participant; and

For a crawl-space foundation, location and total net area of foundation openinqs <br /> as required in Section 41.18(C)(5) of this ordinance and detailed in FEMA <br /> Technical 8ulletins 1-93 and 7-93. <br /> D. Description of the extent to which any watercourse will be altered or relocated as <br /> a result of proposed development. <br /> E. All appropriate certifications listed in Section 41.15 jD) of this ordinance. <br /> Section 5. Existing Chapter 41, Article IV, Section 41.16 is hereby <br /> renumbered as Chapter 41, Article IV, Section 41.17 as follows: <br /> Sec. 41.167. APPEALS: <br /> [Substantive contents remain unchanged.] <br /> Section 6. Chapter 41, Article V, Section 41.17 is hereby re-numbered as <br /> Chapter 41, Article IV, Section 41.18 and amended to read as follows: <br /> Sec. 41.1�8. STANDARDS OF CONSTRUCTION: <br /> In all areas of special flood hazards, the following standards are required: <br /> A. Anchoring. <br /> 1. All new construction and substantial improvements shall be adequately <br /> anchored to prevent flotation, collapse or lateral movement of the structure <br /> resulting from hydrodynamic and hydrostatic loads, including the effects of <br /> buoyancy. <br /> 2.
