This ordinance shall take effect thirty days after adoption but not <br />before January 1, 2017. <br />SECTION 12. EXEMPTION FOR PENDING APPLICATIONS <br />A. The provisions of the 2016 California Codes adopted herein by reference as <br />amended herein, shall not apply to any building or structure for which <br />application for a building permit was made prior to January 1, 2017. Such <br />buildings or structure shall be erected, constructed, enlarged, altered or repaired <br />in accordance with the provisions of the Code in effect at the date of said <br />application. <br />B.
