4/24/00 <br />development in the City of ...~Jwood City and reduce the traffic _ngestion and other <br /> <br />adverse effects of increased traffic volumes caused by new development; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, said impact fees shall be used for the construction of public streets, <br />traffic reduction measures and pedestrian, bicycle and transit improvements that are, <br />and shall be, specified in the Study and its periodic updates; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Study documents procedures for measuring the traffic impact of <br />new development in the City on public streets, and includes an impact fee schedule; <br />and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, a public hearing was held on April 3, 2000, at which all persons <br />interested in the matter were heard, or given the opportunity to be heard, and this <br />Council has considered the Study and desires to enact the Transportation Impact Fees <br />therein described; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, the Council of Redwood City does ordain as follows: <br />Section 1. Article XV (commencing with Section 18.244) is hereby added to <br />Chapter 18 of the Code of the City of Redwood City to read as follows: <br />"ARTICLE XV, TRANSPORTATION IMPACT FEE <br /> <br />Section 18.244 - Findings: <br /> <br />The Council of Redwood City determines and declares that: <br /> <br /> A.
