10/28/02 <br /> <br /> ORIGINAL <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 2236 <br /> <br /> ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 38.5 OF THE CODE OF THE CITY <br /> OF REDWOOD CITY RELATING TO WATER SERVICE CHARGES AND <br /> FEES <br /> <br />THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY DOES ORDAIN AS <br />FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> SECTION 1. Section 38.5 of the Code of the City of Redwood City is hereby <br />amended in its entirety to read as follows: <br />"Section 38.5. Water Service Charge. In addition to all other charges <br />and fees applicable to users of water from the water system owned or operated <br />by the City of Redwood City, as established by the Water Rules and Regulations <br />of the Department of Public Works Services, as amended, and this chapter, <br />residential and non-residential monthly water service charges shall be paid for <br />each water service within the water service areas and at the rates and upon the <br />effective dates as follows: <br /> <br /> "(a) Residential Water Service Charge. A monthly water service <br /> charge for each dwelling unit or dwelling unit equivalent ('DUE') for each such <br /> unit used, or intended for use, as a single-family residential dwelling, irrespective <br /> of whether such service is furnished through a single meter for multiple dwelling <br /> units or through individual meters for each dwelling unit, is hereby established as <br /> follows: <br /> <br />F:Atty/Ord/Ord. 164 1 <br />091202 <br /> <br /> <br />
