ORDINANCE NO. 2256 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY ADOPTING THE FINAL BUDGET OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY FOR THE FISCAL YEAR JULY 1, 2003 - JUNE 30, 2004; PROVIDING FOR THE APPROPRIATION AND EXPENDITURE OF ALL SUMS SET FORTH IN SAID BUDGET; PROVIDING FOR EMERGENCY EXPENDITURES, TRANSFERS, ADDITIONAL APPROPRIATIONS, CANCELLATIONS AND REAPPROPRIATIONS OF EXISTING APPROPRIATIONS; ADOPTING THE BUDGET FOR GENERAL IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT NO. 1-64 FOR THE FISCAL YEAR JULY 1, 2003 - JUNE 30, 2004; MAKING PROVISION FOR INTERIM EXPENDITURES AS OF JULY 1, 2003; AND REPEALING ORDINANCE NO. 2215, AND ALL ORDINANCES AND RESOLUTIONS IN CONFLICT HEREWITH THE COUNCIL OF REDWOOD CiTY DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS

O8/25/2OO3 <br /> <br />existing appropriations except on an order of a Court of competent jurisdiction or for an <br />emergency as herein provided. <br /> <br /> SECTION 5. Emergency Expenditures. Upon the happening of any emergency <br />caused by fire, flood, explosion, storm, earthquake, epidemic, riot or insurrection, or for <br />the immediate preservation of public order, peace, health or safety, or for the restoration <br />to a condition of usefulness of any public property, the usefulness of which has been <br />destroyed by accident or Act of God, or for the relief of an area stricken by calamity, or <br />to meet monetary expenditure required by law, the Council may, upon 2/3rds vote of the <br />members present at any regular, adjourned or special meeting, adopt a resolution <br />stating the facts constituting the emergency, thereby making the expenditure necessary <br />to meet such emergency. All emergency expenditures shall be paid by warrant or <br />check from any fund properly chargeable therewith and the Director of Finance i$ <br />hereby authorized and directed to pay such warrants. <br /> <br /> SECTION 6. Budget for General Improvement District No. 1-64. The budgei <br />designated as the budget for General Improvement District No. 1-64, for the Fiscal Yeai <br />July 1, 2003 ~ June 30, 2004, in the Annual Budget referenced in Section 1 hereof, ii <br />hereby adopted as the budget for said fiscal year for said District. <br /> <br /> SECTION 7. Provision for Interim Expenditures as of July 1, 2003; <br /> <br />Reappropriations. All unencumbered General Fund balances remaining at the close of <br />the Fiscal Year June 30, 2003, except for those amounts otherwise legally disposed of, <br />are hereby appropriated to the General Fund program "Resources Held in Reserve"i <br />The Director of Finance is hereby authorized to transfer monies hereby appropriated to <br />the program Resources Held in Reserve from said program to any other program or <br /> <br />F:Atty/Ord/Ord.195 2256 <br />073103 4 <br /> <br /> <br />
