PUBLIC HEARING <br />A. 1816 Hopkins Avenue: Historic Landmark Designation and Historic Preservation <br />Agreement (Mills Act Contract) <br />Principal Planner Jany explained the contract. <br />Mayor Pierce opened the public hearing. There was no public comment. <br />M/S Foust/Aguirre to close the public hearing. The motion passed by a <br />unanimous voice vote. <br />Recommendation: <br />M/S Foust/Ira to: <br />1. Approve a resolution designating the property located at 1816 Hopkins Avenue <br />as a Historic Landmark based on the finding that the subject property meets the <br />historic designation criteria, per section 40.6 of the Redwood City Historic <br />Preservation Ordinance as listed below: <br />• The property exemplifies or reflects special elements of the City's cultural, <br />aesthetic or architectural history; <br />• It is identified with persons or events significant in Local, State, or National <br />History; <br />• It embodies distinctive characteristics of a style, type, period, or method of <br />construction, or is a valuable example of the use of indigenous materials or <br />craftsmanship; and <br />• It is representative of the notable work of a builder, designer, or architect. <br />RESOLUTION 14816 OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY <br />APPROVING THE APPLICATION FOR HISTORIC LANDMARK DESIGNATION OF THE <br />PROPERTY AT 1816 HOPKINS AVENUE <br />The motion passed by a unanimous roll call vote. <br />2.
