2016 MAY 07 1990 --------- ORDINANCE REPEALING ARTICLE V OF CHAPTER 32 OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY AND ADDING ARTICLE V (COMMENCING WITH SECTION 32.101) TO THE CODE OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY RELATING TO BUSINESS LICENSE TAXES THE COUNCIL OF REDWOOD CITY DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: SECTION l. Article V (conunencing with Section 32.101), entitled "Business Licenses", of Chapter 32 of the Code of the City of Redwood City is hereby repealed. SECTION 2. Article V (conunencing with Section 32.101) is hereby added to the Code of the City of Redwood City to read as follows: "ARTICLE V. BUSINESS LICENSES

<br /> DES:djk 114/16/90 (038/7) <br /> DES:djk 1/23/90R <br /> SECTION 3. Notwithstanding the provisions of Sections <br />32.107 (When Taxes Due and Payable) , 32.108 (Penalty for <br />Delinquent Taxes) and 32.110 (Excess Delinquencies) of the Code <br />of the City of Redwood City as enacted pursuant to Section 2 of <br />this ordinance, any person (as said term is defined in Section <br />32.102 of said Code as so enacted) who would be subject to <br />payment of the taxes and penalties by reason of said sections <br />shall be exempt therefrom if said person pays the business <br />license tax or taxes applicable for the current fiscal year or <br />other specified period within ninety (90 ) days of the effective <br />date of this ordinance. <br /> SECTION 4. Notwithstanding the provisions of Section 5 of <br />Ordinance No. 1359 entitled, "Ordinance Establishing Downtown <br />Parking and Business Improvement Area No. 1 in a Portion of the <br />City of Redwood City in Accordance with Section 36000 et seq., of <br />the Streets and Highways Code; Describing the Boundaries of Said <br />Area; Establishing the Rate or Levy of Additional Taxation by <br />Classification of Business Within Said District; and Stating the <br />Uses to Which the Revenues From Such Taxation Shall be Put", <br />adopted May 27, 1968, as amended, the provisions of the business <br />license tax enacted pursuant to Section 2 hereof shall not govern <br />the calculation of the Downtown Parking and Business Improvement <br />Assessment specified in said Ordinance No. 1359, as amended. The <br />amount of said assessment shall be determined and calculated in <br />accordance with the business license taxes as enumerated and <br /> 25 <br /> 2016 <br /> _._~..._- <br />
