ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTIONS 27.130 AND 27.131 OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY RELATING TO SEWER SERVICE CHARGES AND WASTEWATER TREATMENT CAPACITY FEES, RESPECTIVELY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. Section 27.130 of the Code of the City of Redwood City is hereby amended to read as follows: "Section 27.130. Service Charge s . (a) Established. The following charges are hereby established and levied upon each premise or any portion thereof which receives or uses sewerage service from the sewerage facilities

<br /> DES:djk 09/13/90 (007/09) <br /> DES:djk 9/17/90R <br /> Minimum charge per month - <br /> Effective November 15, 1990: $14.38 <br /> plus an additional monthly charge based upon the <br /> number of cubic feet of waste or wastewater <br /> discharge or deposited monthly into the sewerage <br /> facilities, as follows: <br /> Monthly rate - <br /> Effective November 15, 1990: $1. 51 per <br /> hundred cubic <br /> feet of water <br /> discharged or <br /> deposited in <br /> excess of 1000 <br /> cubic feet; <br /> plus $0.139 per <br /> pound of <br /> suspended <br /> solids <br /> discharged; <br /> plus $0.149 per <br /> pound of <br /> biochemical <br /> oxygen demand <br /> discharged. <br /> " (b) User Categories. The determination of the <br />appropriate user category for a particular premise shall be <br />made by the Director based upon the waste or wastewater <br />characteristics of such user, including such factors as <br />biochemical oxygen demand, suspended solids, and volume, <br />consistent with the categories hereinabove in subdivision <br />(a) established. The user category for any particular <br />premise may be revised, changed or redesignated by the <br />Director upon a determination by him that the waste or <br />wastewater characteristics of the user of such premise have <br />changed in such manner, or to such an extent, as to justify <br />such reclassification.
