No.2030 ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTIONS 10.2 THROUGH 10.9, INCLUSIVE, OF CHAPTER 10 OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY RELATING TO EMERGENCY AND DISASTER RELIEF THE COUNCIL OF REDWOOD CITY DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: SECTION l. Sections 10.2 through 10.9, inclusive, of the Code of the City of Redwood City are hereby amended to read as follows: "Section 10.2. Definitions. For purposes of this Chapter, the following words or terms shall have the meanings respectively ascribed thereto: 'Curfew' means a prohibition against any person or persons

<br /> MJP:dft Q/21/90 (022/8) <br /> DAL:dft /08/90R <br /> many citizens of this community as deemed <br /> necessary in the execution of the emergency <br /> powers and duties hereunder. Such persons shall <br /> be entitled to all privileges, benefits, and <br /> immunities as are provided by state law for <br /> registered disaster service workers. <br /> (3) Requisition necessary personnel or material of <br /> any City department or agency. <br /> (4 ) Execute all of the special powers conferred by <br /> this chapter or by resolution or emergency plan <br /> adopted pursuant hereto by the Council, all <br /> powers conferred by any statute, or by any <br /> agreement approved by the City Council, and by <br /> any other lawful authority. <br />(c) The Director shall designate the order of succession to <br /> that office, to take effect in the event the Director is <br /> unavailable to attend meetings and otherwise perform his <br /> or her duties during an Emergency. Such order of <br /> succession shall be approved by the Council. <br />(d) The Emergency Operations Manager shall, under the <br /> supervision of the Director and with the assistance of <br /> emergency services chiefs, develop emergency plans and <br /> manage the emergency operations center and the emergency <br /> operations programs of the City, and exercise such other <br /> powers and duties as may be assigned by the Director. <br /> "Section 10.7.
