ORDINANCE OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY ESTABLISHING A DOWNTOWN BUSINESS IMPROVEMENT AREA AND ITS BENEFIT ZONES IN A PORTION OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY IN ACCORDANCE WITH SECTION 36500 ET SEQ. OF THE STREETS AND HIGHWAY CODE; DESCRIBING THE BOUNDARIES OF THE PROPOSED AREA; STATING THE USES TO WHICH THE REVENUES FROM THE ASSESSMENTS WILL BE PUT; DESCRIBING THE METHOD AND BASIS OF LEVYING THE ASSESSMENT; AND MAKING A DETERMINATION REGARDING PROTESTS

<br /> EXHIBIT C <br /> G. Exception <br /> For each business who holds a master lease and subleases space <br /> to a similiar type of business which offers the same services <br /> or products for sale to the public, the business owner <br /> subleasee shall only be required to a pay an assessment in the <br /> amount assessed a business owner for each employee when the <br /> business owner has more than five employees. If a business <br /> owner who is a subleasee that falls within the criteria for <br /> this exception and also has more than five employees then this <br /> exception would not be applicable. (For example: A business <br /> owner who is a subleasee with less then five employees and <br /> falls within the criteria of the exception would only be <br /> assessed $10.00 as initially set forth in Section I above.) <br /> ( 5 ) <br /> _. <br />
