ORDINANCE REPEALING ARTICLES IV, V, VI, VII, VIII AND DIVISIONS 2 AND 3 OF ARTICLE IX OF CHAPTER 9 AND CHAPTER 31 OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY; ADDING ARTICLES IV, V, VI, VII, VIII AND DIVISION 2 OF ARTICLE IX OF CHAPTER 9 TO THE CODE OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY RELATING TO THE ESTABLISHMENT OF REGULATIONS AND STANDARDS FOR BUILDINGS AND STRUCTURES IN THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY AND ADOPTING BY REFERENCE THE FOLLOWING CODES: "THE UNIFORM BUILDING CODE, 1991 EDITION"; "THE UNIFORM BUILDING CODE STANDARDS, 1991 EDITION"; "THE UNIFORM BUILDING SECURITY CODE, 1991 EDITION"; "THE UNIFORM HOUSING CODE, 1991 EDITION"; "THE UNIFORM MECHANICAL CODE, 1991 EDITION"; "THE UNIFORM PLUMBING CODE, 1991 EDITION"; AND "THE NATIONAL ELECTRICAL CODE, 1990 EDITION" THE COUNCIL OF REDWOOD CITY DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. Section 203 of the Uniform <br />Administrative Code is hereby deleted." <br />"Section 9.112. Section 304(a) of the Uniform <br />Administrative Code is hereby amended to read as follows: <br /> "Section 304(a) Permit Fees. The fee for each <br />electrical permit shall be as adopted by resolution of <br />Council. The applicant shall pay to the building <br />official for each permit at the time of issuance a fee <br />established by resolution of the City Council. <br />"Section 9.113. Section 230-76 of the Electrical Code <br />is hereby amended to read as follows: <br /> "Section 230-76. The disconnecting means for <br />underground service conductors shall consist of either <br />(1) a manually operable switch or circuit breaker <br />equipped with a handle or other suitable operating <br />means, or (2) a power-operated switch or circuit <br />breaker; provided the switch or circuit breaker can be <br />opened by hand in the event of a power supply failure, <br />or (3) a shunt trip push button device to operate the <br />main switch or circuit breaker. The shunt trip push <br />button device shall be installed (a) when the main <br />disconnects are more than ten (10 ) feet from a direct <br /> 14 <br /> _._..._~ <br />
