DES:dft ~/23/94 (018/10) <br /> <br />from said jurisdictions; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the aforesaid facilities will operate in <br />furtherance of this City's requirements to reduce the volume of <br />solid waste placed in sanitary landfills; <br /> <br /> NOW; THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF REDWOOD CITY DOES ORDAIN AS <br />FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> SECTION 1. That certain franchise agreement entitled, <br />"First Amendment to Agreement for Recyclable Materials", by and <br />between the City of Redwood City, a municipal corporation of the <br />State of California, and BFI, amending the Recycling Franchise <br />Agreement to, among other matters, provide for a recycling <br />processing facility, a copy of which First Amendment to the <br />Recycling Franchise Agreement is on file in the office of the <br />City Clerk, to which copy reference is hereby made for the full <br />particulars thereof, is hereby approved, and the City Manager and <br />City Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to execute, and to <br />attest thereto, respectively, said agreement for and on behalf of <br />the City of Redwood City. <br /> <br /> SECTION 2.
