JA~:dft ll/~'q/94R (006/12) <br /> _ 11! ~/94R <br /> 11/29/94R <br /> 0 R I G I N A L 12h9/94 <br /> <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 2085 <br /> <br /> ORDINANCE AMENDING REDEVELOPMENT PLAN FOR REDEVELOPMENT <br /> PROJECT NO. 2 OF THE REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY OF THE CITY <br /> OF REDWOOD CITY, PURSUANT TO SECTION 33333.6 OF THE <br /> HEALT~ AND SAFETY CODE <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to Ordinance No. 1862 effective August 19, <br />1982, this Council approved the Redevelopment Plan for <br />Redevelopment Project No. 2, which plan was amended by Ordinance <br />No. 1911 effective June 20, 1985, and was further amended by <br />Ordinance No. 2007 effective January 18, 1990; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, by Assembly Bill No. 1290 of 1993 as amended by <br />Senate Bill No. 732 of 1994 (together referred to herein as "AB <br />1290"), the Legislature added to the Community Redevelopment Law <br />Section 33333.6 of the Health & Safety Code, requiring <br />communities to make, on or before December 31, 1994, specified <br />amendments to redevelopment plans adopted prior to January 1, <br />1994; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, AB 1290 provides that where an amendment to a <br />redevelopment plan added territory to the project area on or <br />before December 31, 1993, the time limitations required by <br />Section 33333.6 shall commence, with respect to the original <br />project area, from the date of the adoption of the redevelopment <br />plan, and, with respect to any added territory, from the date of <br />the adoption of the respective amendment; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, AB 1290 further provides that in complying with the <br />bill's requirements, neither the community's legislative body nor <br />the agency is required to comply with the process otherwise <br />applicable %o %he amendment of a redevelopment plan; and <br /> <br /> <br />
