ORDINANCE NO. 2090 ORDINANCE ADDING CHAPTER 27A TO THE CODE OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, RELATING TO THE STORMWATER MANAGEMENT AND DISCHARGE CONTROL PROGRAM THE COUNCIL OF REDWOOD CITY DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. Chapter 27A is hereby added to the Code of the City of Redwood City to read as follows: "CHAPTER 27A. "STORMWATER MANAGEMENT AND DISCHARGE CONTROL PROGRAM "ARTICLE I. General. "Section 27A.1. Purpose and Intent. The purpose of this Chapter is to ensure the future health, safety, and general welfare of the citizens of the City of Redwood City

Eliminating non-storm water discharges to the <br /> municipal separate stormwater drainage <br /> system. <br /> <br /> 2. Controlling the discharge to municipal <br /> separate stormwater drainage system from <br /> spills, dumping or disposal of materials <br /> other than stormwater. <br /> <br /> 3. Reducing pollutants in stormwater discharges <br /> to the maximum extent practicable. <br /> <br /> The intent of this Chapter is to protect and enhance the <br /> water quality of our watercourses, water bodies, and <br /> wetlands in a manner pursuant to and consistent with the <br /> Federal Water Pollution Control Act, as amended, commonly <br /> known as the Clean Water Act (33 USC §1251 et seq.). <br /> <br /> "Section 27A.2. Chapter. This Chapter shall be known <br /> as the "City of Redwood City Stormwater Management and <br /> Discharge Control Program Ordinance" and may be so cited. <br /> <br /> <br />
