ORDINANCE NO. 2090 ORDINANCE ADDING CHAPTER 27A TO THE CODE OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, RELATING TO THE STORMWATER MANAGEMENT AND DISCHARGE CONTROL PROGRAM THE COUNCIL OF REDWOOD CITY DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. Chapter 27A is hereby added to the Code of the City of Redwood City to read as follows: "CHAPTER 27A. "STORMWATER MANAGEMENT AND DISCHARGE CONTROL PROGRAM "ARTICLE I. General. "Section 27A.1. Purpose and Intent. The purpose of this Chapter is to ensure the future health, safety, and general welfare of the citizens of the City of Redwood City

FXS:dft ~/22/94R(030/11) <br /> --9/20/94R <br /> 5/05/95R <br /> <br />channel, storm drainage easement or public utility easement <br />adjacent to, abutting or adjoining any creek, ditch or <br />natural stormwater drainage channel in the City at any time <br />for cleaning and enlarging activities of any such creek, <br />ditch, natural stormwater drainage channel, storm drainage <br />easement or public utility easement adjacent to, abutting or <br />adjoining any creek, ditch or natural stormwater drainage <br />channel. <br /> <br /> "Section 27A.14. Nuisance. Any construction within, <br />or alteration of, any creek, ditch, natural stormwater <br />drainage channel, storm drainage easement or public utility <br />easement adjacent to, abutting or adjoining any creek, ditch <br />or natural stormwater drainage channel, in violation of any <br />provisions of this Article, shall be and is hereby declared <br />to be a public nuisance and subject to abatement or removal <br />or enjoinment in the manner provided by law. <br /> <br /> "Section 27A.15. Watercourse Protection. Every person <br />owning property through which a watercourse passes, or such <br />person's lessee or tenant, shall keep and maintain that part <br />of the watercourse within the property reasonably free of <br />trash, debris, excessive vegetation, and other obstacles <br />which would pollute, contaminate, or significantly retard <br />the flow of water through the watercourse; shall maintain <br />existing privately owned structures within a watercourse so <br />that such structures will not become a hazard to the use, <br />function, or physical integrity of the watercourse; and <br />shall not remove healthy bank vegetation beyond that <br /> <br /> 10 <br /> <br /> <br />
