The Project will help the City to meet this goal. The design of the Project will encourage pedestrian use and diminish the need for automobile trips by establishing common area walkways. These walkways link the larger open spaces to each other, as well as linking the campus to surrounding amenities. The Project developer or its tenants will provide a shuttle service to transport employees to and from the nearest CalTrain station. Subject to City approval, this requirement may be replaced by participation in the existing shuttle service that serves other commercial properties in Redwood Shores. Parking for each phase of the Project meets the City's parking requirements. Special care has been taken to minimize the visual impact of both garages and surface lots to the Redwood Shores Parkway. This was done by setting the parking structures well within the campus, by landscaping the lots, and by surrounding the roadway edge of the campus with an informal arrangement of trees.
