WHEREAS, it is necessary to amend the Master Franchise by revising the <br />period during which notice must be given not to extend the term thereof to <br />accommodate activities of the Authority relating to proposals for substantive <br /> <br />revisions to the Master Franchise; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br />THE COUNCIL OF REDWOOD CITY DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: <br />SECTION 1. That certain agreement entitled, "Third Amendment to <br />Uniform Franchise Agreement" (form dated 05~05/98), by and between the City <br />of Redwood City, a municipal corporation of the State of California, and <br />Browning-Ferris Industries of California, Inc., amending Section 2.2(c) <br />("Extension") of said Master Franchise, a copy of which Third Amendment is on <br />file in the office of the City Clerk, to which copy reference is hereby made for the <br />full particulars thereof, is hereby approved, and the City Manager and City Clerk <br />are hereby authorized and directed to execute, and to attest thereto, <br />respectively, said Third Amendment for and on behalf of the City of Redwood <br />City. <br /> <br /> SECTION 2.
