Article VII is hereby added to Chapter 32 of the <br /> Code of Redwood City to read as follows: <br /> "ARTICLE VII. UTILITY USERS TAX. <br /> "Section 32.500. Short Title. This Article shall be <br /> known as the 'Utility Users Tax Ordinance of the City of <br /> Redwood City'. <br /> "Section 32.50l. Definitions. For the purposes of this <br /> Article, the following words and phrases shall have the <br /> meaning respectively ascribed to them: <br /> " (a) 'Cable television corporation,' 'Electrical <br /> corporation, ' 'Gas corporation,' and 'Telephone corporation,' <br /> have the same meanings as defined in Sections 215.5, 218, <br /> 222, and 234 respectively, of the Public Utilities Code of the <br /> State of California. 'Electrical corporation' shall be <br /> construed to include any municipality or franchised agency <br /> engaged in the selling or supplying of electrical power to a <br /> service user. <br /> " (b) 'Billing period' means that interval of time, <br /> established, administered, or used by a service supplier for <br /> 1 871 <br /> -... <br />
