Thus, the tax on gas and electricity service u~ers will first be added to our bills based upon meter readings taken on and after October 3, 1983. The ordinance provides that tax 'collected in one month shall be remitted to the City on or before the last day of the following month. As discussed, we will comply with this provision by remitting the entire amount of tax billed in one month on the last day of the calendar month following the month in which billing is ma~e. Accordingly, the first remittailce of tax to the City wi~.J. b~ mad~' on November' 30 t' 1983. Any necessary adjus~ments for corrected billings will be made on subsequent remittances. NON-PAYMENT OF TAX ( In implementing Section 32.513, where a customer has notified us of his refusal to pay the tax, or where it .~s evident that the tax is being excluded from bill payments, at the end of the fourth billing .period the entire unpaid .tax. then. owned by the customer will be transferred to the City for its collection action. We will report to you the names, addresses and amount of unpaid tax. In addition to taxes separately withheld by customer, taxes which are applicable to uncollectible accounts will also be transferred to the City for. collection action as such accounts are referred to collection agencies or are wri.tten off. The total amount of taxes so transferred to the City for. collection action in anyone month 'will be deducted from the remittance made by PGandE for that month.
