Article III (commencing with §11.70) of Chapter 11 of the Code of the City of Redwood City is hereby repealed. SECTION 2. Article III (commencing with §11.70) is hereby added to Chapter 11 of the Code of the City of Redwood City to read as follows

<br /> C:GM:mf 01/26/83 <br /> ;M:mf 02/14/83R <br /> CGM:djg-c 10/18/83R <br /> CGM:rb 11/Ol/83R <br /> CGM:djg-c 12/23/83R <br /> DES:rb 1/23/84R <br />day of March of each year, a current map or set of maps drawn to <br />scale to be designed by the Director of Public Works, showing all <br />CATV system equipment installed in streets and public places of the <br />City during the previous year. " <br />"Section 11.84. The Grantee shall provide CATV services to <br />areas of the City that do not have CATV service and to areas <br />which may become annexed to the City in accordance with the <br />terms of the franchise awarded by the City to a Grantee. <br />"Section 11.85. The Grantee shall operate and maintain its <br />cable television system in full compliance with the standards set <br />forth by the Federal Communications Commission. However, in any <br />event, the system shall meet or exceed the following standards: <br />" (a) The system shall be installed using all-band <br />equipment capable of passing the entire VHF and FM spectrum, <br />and it shall have the further capacity of converting UHF for <br />distribution to subscribers on the VHF band. <br />" (b) The system, as installed, shall be capable of passing <br />standard color TV signals without the introduction of noticeable <br />effects on color fidelity and intelligence. <br />" (c) The system and all equipment shall be designed and <br />rated for twenty-four-hour-per-day continuous operation. <br />" (d) The system signal-to-noise ratio shall be not less <br />than forty-six (46) decibels. <br />" (e) Hum modulation of picture signal shall be less than <br /> 12 <br /> .--.". <br />
