<br /> DRS:djk 9/18/87 (#06) <br />contrary in said agreement provided) the existing agreement (as <br />amended) with the City of Redwood City, effective as of October <br />1, 1987; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY DOES ORDAIN AS <br />FOLLOWS: <br /> SECTION 1. That certain franchise agreement entitled "South <br />Bayside Transfer Station Authority Uniform Franchise Agreement" <br />(form dated 08/31/87R) by and between the City of Redwood City, a <br />municipal corporation of the State of California, and <br />Browning-Ferris Industries of California, Inc. , granting to said <br />Company the franchise to collect solid waste in the City, a copy <br />of which agreement is on file in the office of the City Clerk, to <br />which copy reference is hereby made for the full particulars <br />thereof, is hereby approved, and the City Manager is hereby <br />authorized and directed to execute the same for and on behalf of <br />the City of Redwood City. <br /> SECTION 2. This ordinance shall be effective 30 days from <br />its date of adoption; provided, however, that it shall be <br />operative retroactively from and after October 1, 1987 and the <br />Uniform Franchise Agreement hereinabove approved shall likewise <br />be effective from and after said date in accordance with its <br />terms and conditions. <br /> * * * <br /> 2 <br /> _.... . ,.--., <br />
