1963 JAN 1 8 ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTIONS 9 . 2 AND 9.24, AND ARTICLES IV, V, VI, VII, AND VIII OF CHAPTER 9 OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY RELATING TO THE ESTABLISHMENT OF REGULATIONS AND STANDARDS FOR BUILDINGS AND STRUCTURES IN THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, INCLUDING THE ADOPTION BY REFERENCE OF THE FOLLOWING CODES: "THE UNIFORM BUILDING CODE, 1985 EDITION" ; "THE UNIFORM BUILDING CODE STANDARDS, 1985 EDITION" ; "THE UNIFORM BUILDING SECURITY CODE, 1985 EDITION" ; liTHE UNIFORM HOUSING CODE, 1985 EDITION"; "THE UNIFORM MECHANICAL CODE, 1985 EDITION"; "THE UNIFORM PLUMBING CODE, 1985 EDITION"; AND "THE NATIONAL ELECTRICAL CODE, 1984 EDITION" THE COUNCIL OF REDWOOD CITY DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. Section 9.2 of the Redwood City Code is hereby amended to read as follows

<br /> S :nt 12/17/87 (#06) <br /> SWC:nt 12/22/87R <br /> plumbing facilities design shall be subject to the approval <br /> of the Building Official. <br /> " (b) In the event of any conflict between the <br /> provisions of the Uniform Plumbing Code, 1985 Edition, <br /> hereinafter referred to as the Plumbing Code, and the <br /> provisions of this chapter, the provisions of this chapter <br /> shall apply." <br /> "Section 9.81. Section 20.7 of the Plumbing Code is <br /> hereby amended to read as follows: <br /> "'Section 20.7. Every applicant for a permit to <br /> do work regulated by this code, shall state in writing <br /> on the application form provided for that purpose, the <br /> character of work proposed to be done and the amount <br /> and kind in connection therewith, together with such <br /> information, pertinent thereto, as may be required. <br /> "'Such applicant shall pay to the Building <br /> Official for each permit at the time of issuance a fee <br /> established by resolution of the City Council. <br /> "'Any person who shall commence any work for which <br /> a permit is required by this code without first having <br /> obtained a permit therefor shall, if subsequently <br /> permitted to obtain a permit, pay double the permit fee <br /> fixed by this section for such work, provided, however, <br /> that this provision shall not apply to emergency work <br /> when it shall be proved to the satisfaction of the <br /> Building Official that such work was urgently necessary <br /> and that it was not practical to obtain a permit <br /> 11 <br /> ",. ....-._.
