<br /> S\ .nt 12/17/87 (#06) <br /> SWC:nt 12/22/87R <br /> II (b) In the event of any conflict or inconsistency <br /> between the provisions of the National Electrical Code, 1984 <br /> Edition, hereinafter referred to as the Electrical Code, and <br /> the provisions of this chapter, the requirement which <br /> prescribes and establishes the higher standard of safety <br /> shall apply unless otherwise stated in this article. " <br /> "Section 9.1l1. Definitions. For the purposes of this <br /> article, the following words and phrases shall have the <br /> meanings respectively ascribed to them by this section: <br /> "'The term 'electrical system' as used in this <br /> article or the Electrical Code shall be deemed to mean <br /> and include electrical wiring, equipment, appliances, <br /> materials, fixtures, or devices, designed, or intended <br /> to be used, either singularly or collectively, or in <br /> any combination thereof, to generate, transmit, <br /> conduct, transfer or utilize electrical energy. <br /> "'The term 'electrical work' as used in this <br /> article or the Electrical Code shall be deemed to mean <br /> and include the installation, construction, <br /> maintenance, repair, or alteration of any electrical <br /> system in, outside, on, above, or under, any building, <br /> structure or premises. ' " <br /> "Section 9.112. (a) The Building Division of the City <br /> of Redwood City shall enforce the provisions of this article <br /> and the Electrical Code. When, in this article or the <br /> Electrical Code, the words 'Electrical Inspector' are <br /> referred to, such words shall mean the Building Official of <br /> 18 <br /> -- . <br />
