1963 JAN 1 8 ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTIONS 9 . 2 AND 9.24, AND ARTICLES IV, V, VI, VII, AND VIII OF CHAPTER 9 OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY RELATING TO THE ESTABLISHMENT OF REGULATIONS AND STANDARDS FOR BUILDINGS AND STRUCTURES IN THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, INCLUDING THE ADOPTION BY REFERENCE OF THE FOLLOWING CODES: "THE UNIFORM BUILDING CODE, 1985 EDITION" ; "THE UNIFORM BUILDING CODE STANDARDS, 1985 EDITION" ; "THE UNIFORM BUILDING SECURITY CODE, 1985 EDITION" ; liTHE UNIFORM HOUSING CODE, 1985 EDITION"; "THE UNIFORM MECHANICAL CODE, 1985 EDITION"; "THE UNIFORM PLUMBING CODE, 1985 EDITION"; AND "THE NATIONAL ELECTRICAL CODE, 1984 EDITION" THE COUNCIL OF REDWOOD CITY DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. Section 9.2 of the Redwood City Code is hereby amended to read as follows

<br />S, :nt 12/17/87 (#06) <br />SWC:nt 12/22/87R <br /> <br /> <br />to a supply of electricity, without first obtaining an <br /> <br />electrical permit for such work, or, (iii) perform <br /> <br />electrical work relating to outside conductors or electrical <br /> <br />facilities exterior to any building, structure, or premises <br /> <br />without first obtaining an electrical permit for such <br /> <br />electrical work. <br /> <br />"(b) To obtain an electrical permit, an applicant <br /> <br />shall first file an application therefor in writing on a <br /> <br />form furnished or that purpose. Every such application <br /> <br />shall: <br /> <br />" (1) Identify and describe the electrical work or <br />electrical system to be covered by the permit for such <br />application is made; <br /> <br />"(2) Describe the land, building, structure, or <br />premises upon which the proposed electrical work is to <br />be done, with reference to lot, block, tract, and house <br />numbers and street address, or similar description that <br />will readily identify and definitely establish the <br />location of the work; <br /> <br />"(3) Indicate the use for which the proposed <br />electrical work or electrical system is intended; <br /> <br />11(4) Be accompanied by plans and specifications when <br />required by the Electrical Inspector; <br /> <br />II (5) Be signed by the applicant, or his authorized <br />agent, who may be required to submit evidence to <br />indicate such authority; <br /> <br />11(6) Certify compliance to Section 3800, State of <br />California Labor Code regarding workers' compensation <br />insurance; and <br /> <br />II (7) Give such other information as reasonably may be <br />required by the Electrical Inspector. <br /> <br /> <br />"At the discretion of the Electrical Inspector, the <br /> <br />application required hereunder may be deemed applied for in <br /> <br />connection with any application for a building permit made <br /> <br /> <br />21 <br />
