1963 JAN 1 8 ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTIONS 9 . 2 AND 9.24, AND ARTICLES IV, V, VI, VII, AND VIII OF CHAPTER 9 OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY RELATING TO THE ESTABLISHMENT OF REGULATIONS AND STANDARDS FOR BUILDINGS AND STRUCTURES IN THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, INCLUDING THE ADOPTION BY REFERENCE OF THE FOLLOWING CODES: "THE UNIFORM BUILDING CODE, 1985 EDITION" ; "THE UNIFORM BUILDING CODE STANDARDS, 1985 EDITION" ; "THE UNIFORM BUILDING SECURITY CODE, 1985 EDITION" ; liTHE UNIFORM HOUSING CODE, 1985 EDITION"; "THE UNIFORM MECHANICAL CODE, 1985 EDITION"; "THE UNIFORM PLUMBING CODE, 1985 EDITION"; AND "THE NATIONAL ELECTRICAL CODE, 1984 EDITION" THE COUNCIL OF REDWOOD CITY DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. Section 9.2 of the Redwood City Code is hereby amended to read as follows

(a) Pursuant to Section 50022.1, et <br /> seq. , of the Government Code and Section 15 of the Charter <br /> of the City of Redwood City, the Uniform Mechanical Code, <br /> 1985 Edition, as published by the International Association <br /> of Plumbing and Mechanical Officials and the International <br /> Conference of Building Officials, is hereby adopted and <br /> shall be in effect within the City of Redwood City to the <br /> same extent as if set out in full herein except as expressly <br /> amended by the provisions of this article. <br /> " (b) In the event of any conflict between the <br /> provisions of the Uniform Mechanical Code, 1985 Edition, <br /> hereinafter referred to as the Mechanical Code, and the <br /> provisions of this chapter, the provisions of this chapter <br /> shall apply." <br /> "Section 9.72. Seetin 304 of the Mechanical Code is <br /> hereby amended to read as follows: <br /> "'Section 304. (a) General.
