ORlGi !\nL URGENCY INTERIM ORDINANCE PROHIBITING USES IN CONFLICT WITH ZONING PROPOSAL RELATING TO PROPERTIES FRONTING ON ROLISON ROAD BETWEEN THE INTERSECTIONS THEREOF WITH SECOND AVENUE AND FIFTH AVENUE IN THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY THE COUNCIL OF REDWOOD CITY DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. This Council hereby finds, determines and concludes as follows: a. The real property fronting on Rolison Road between the intersections thereof with Second Avenue and Fifth Avenue (the "Subject Property" ) shown on Exhibit "A" hereof (depicted by shading) is currently located in the "CG" (General Commercial

<br /> DES:djJ<- 04/27/89 (022/7) <br />conditions inimicable to the surrounding residential uses and to <br />the Subject Property would recur. <br /> l. As a result of the aforesaid pending application, <br />numerous owners and residents of property in the vicinity of the <br />Subject Property have lodged a protest based upon a fear of such <br />recurrence. <br /> m. In light of the foregoing, this Council hereby <br />concludes that the public safety, health and welfare require the <br />adoption of an urgency interim ordinance prohibiting any use on <br />or within the Subject Property which would, or may be, in <br />conflict with the contemplated zoning. <br /> n. This Council does hereby further determine and conclude <br />that the Subject Property should be placed in the "IS" ( interim <br />study) zoning district pursuant to R.C. Zone Ord. §§22.1 et. seq. <br />in order to permit temporary review of development on the Subject <br />Property of changing conditions or development trends, and shall, <br />by separate motion, initiate proceedings to that effect. <br /> SECTION 2. Pursuant to the provisions of Government Code <br />Section 65858, and further pursuant to the provisions of Section <br />16 of the Charter of the City of Redwood City, this Council <br />hereby orders that any use of any parcel or parcels of property <br />located on or within the Subject Property which would, or may be, <br />in conflict with the IR zoning district regulations of the City <br />of Redwood City shall be, and hereby are, prohibited for not less <br />than four ( 4) months from the operative date of this ordinance. <br /> SECTION 3.
