" <br />SECTION 4. Section 9.70 of the Redwood City Code is hereby <br />amended to read as follows: <br /> "Section 9.70. Adoption by Reference; Conflicting <br />Provisions. (a) Pursuant to Section 50022.1, et seq. , of <br />the Government Code and Section 15 of the Charter of the <br />City of Redwood City, the Uniform Mechanical Code, 1988 <br />Edition, as published by the International Association of <br />Plumbing and Mechanical Officials and the International <br />Conference of Building Officials, is hereby adopted and <br />shall be in effect within the City of Redwood City to the <br />same extent as if set out in full herein except as expressly <br />amended by the provisions of this article. <br /> " (b) In the event of any conflict between the <br />provisions of the Uniform Mechanical Code, 1988 Edition, <br />hereinafter referred to as the Mechanical Code, and the <br />provisions of this chapter, the provisions of this chapter <br />shall apply." <br /> 3 <br /> 2004 <br />~ .' <br />
