ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTIONS 9.2, 9.40, 9.60, 9.70, 9.80, AND 9.110, AND ADDING DIVISION 4 TO ARTICLE IX OF CHAPTER 9 OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY RELATING TO THE AVAILABILITY OF CODES ADOPTED BY REFERENCE, ADOPTING BY REFERENCE THE UNIFORM BUILDING CODE, 1988 EDITION, THE UNIFORM BUILDING CODE STANDARDS, 1988 EDITION, THE UNIFORM BUILDING SECURITY CODE, 1988 EDITION, THE UNIFORM HOUSING CODE, 1988 EDITION, THE UNIFORM MECHANICAL CODE, 1988 EDITION, THE UNIFORM PLUMBING CODE, 1988 EDITION, AND THE NATIONAL ELECTRICAL CODE, 1987 EDITION, AND ESTABLISHING A SEISMIC HAZARD IDENTIFICATION PROGRAM, RESPECTIVELY THE COUNCIL OF REDWOOD CITY DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. <br /> - DES:d;k 11/07/89 (029/7) <br />Edition, as published by the International Conference of <br />Building Officials, is hereby adopted and shall be in effect <br />within the City of Redwood City to the same extent as if set <br />out in full herein except as expressly amended by the <br />provisions of this article. <br /> " (b) In the event of any conflict between the <br />provisions of the Uniform Housing Code, 1988 Edition, <br />hereinafter referred to as the Housing Code, and the <br />provisions of this chapter, the provisions of this chapter <br />shall apply. " <br />SECTION 4. Section 9.70 of the Redwood City Code is hereby <br />amended to read as follows: <br /> "Section 9.70. Adoption by Reference; Conflicting <br />Provisions. (a) Pursuant to Section 50022.1, et seq. , of <br />the Government Code and Section 15 of the Charter of the <br />City of Redwood City, the Uniform Mechanical Code, 1988 <br />Edition, as published by the International Association of <br />Plumbing and Mechanical Officials and the International <br />Conference of Building Officials, is hereby adopted and <br />shall be in effect within the City of Redwood City to the <br />same extent as if set out in full herein except as expressly <br />amended by the provisions of this article. <br /> " (b) In the event of any conflict between the <br />provisions of the Uniform Mechanical Code, 1988 Edition, <br />hereinafter referred to as the Mechanical Code, and the <br />provisions of this chapter, the provisions of this chapter <br />shall apply." <br /> 3 <br /> 2004 <br />~ .' <br />
