ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTIONS 9.2, 9.40, 9.60, 9.70, 9.80, AND 9.110, AND ADDING DIVISION 4 TO ARTICLE IX OF CHAPTER 9 OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY RELATING TO THE AVAILABILITY OF CODES ADOPTED BY REFERENCE, ADOPTING BY REFERENCE THE UNIFORM BUILDING CODE, 1988 EDITION, THE UNIFORM BUILDING CODE STANDARDS, 1988 EDITION, THE UNIFORM BUILDING SECURITY CODE, 1988 EDITION, THE UNIFORM HOUSING CODE, 1988 EDITION, THE UNIFORM MECHANICAL CODE, 1988 EDITION, THE UNIFORM PLUMBING CODE, 1988 EDITION, AND THE NATIONAL ELECTRICAL CODE, 1987 EDITION, AND ESTABLISHING A SEISMIC HAZARD IDENTIFICATION PROGRAM, RESPECTIVELY THE COUNCIL OF REDWOOD CITY DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. Recordation. Concurrently with giving <br />notice pursuant to Section 9.143, the Building Official <br />shall submit to the County Recorder, County of San Mateo, <br />for recordation a certificate stating that the property with <br />respect to which such notice has been given contains thereon <br />an unrein forced masonry building which has been determined <br />by the Building Official pursuant to the provisions of this <br />Division to be potentially hazardous in the event of an <br />earthquake, and that the owner(s) of the property upon which <br />said building is located is required to comply with the <br />provisions of this Division. Thereafter, and upon a <br />determination by the Building Official that a building with <br />respect to which such certificate has been recorded should <br />not be deemed a potentially hazardous building in the event <br />of an earthquake, or upon a determination that such building <br />has undergone mitigation of such hazards to the satisfaction <br />of the Building Official, the Building Official shall <br />thereupon submit to the County Recorder, County of San <br />Mateo, for recordation a certificate stating that such <br />building is no longer deemed potentially hazardous in the <br />event of an earthquake, and rescinding the prior <br />certification. <br /> 9 <br /> 2004 <br />~ .' ,,-~.'.-,~_..~-_.- ".---- ..'--,_.._..'...... <br />
