RESOLUTION NO. P- 2401 <br />RESOLUTION ACCEPTING GRANT FROM THE U.S. <br />DEPARTMENT OF HOMELAND SECURITY UNDER THE PORT'S <br />FY 2019 PORT SECURITY GRANT PROGRAM AND <br />AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF DOCUMENTS <br />WHEREAS, on or about May 17th 2019, the Port of Redwood City (the <br />"Port") applied for a grant with the U.S. Department of Homeland Security under <br />the FY 2019 Port Security Grant Program (the "Grant") ; and <br />WHEREAS, Port's application (the "Application") for the Grant has been <br />approved by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (the "Approval") in the <br />sum of $1,853,619.00; and <br />WHEREAS, The Grant requires that the Port contribute a cost match in <br />the amount of $617,873.00; and <br />WHEREAS, the Port has reviewed the Approval documents received from <br />the U.S. Department of Homeland Security. <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF PORT COMMISSIONERS OF <br />THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY AS FOLLOWS: <br />1. The City of Redwood City, acting by and through its Board of Port <br />Commissioners, accepts the Grant in the amount of One Million Eight Hundred <br />Fifty Three Thousand Six Hundred Nineteen and no/100 Dollars ($1,853,619.00) <br />from the U.S. Department of Homeland Security and the Port Executive Director <br />(Port Manager), and/or her designee, is hereby authorized and directed to <br />FY19 PSGP Acceptance 10.02.19 sl 1 <br />
