6.B. - Page 2 of 44 <br />The Redwood City Police Department has five patrol vehicles that are scheduled to be replaced in the <br />current Fiscal Year (FY). Representatives from the Police Department and the Public Works Fleet Section <br />have agreed that the five vehicles should be replaced with 2020 Ford Hybrid Explorer Police Interceptors <br />Utility AWD as they will meet the rigorous demands of the Police Department. Additionally, the Redwood <br />City Police Department has one administrative vehicle due for replacement utilized by the Deputy Chief <br />of Police. Staff has identified a standard Ford Hybrid Explorer as the appropriate vehicle for replacement. <br />On September 4, 2019 a Notice Inviting Sealed Bids was published in the San Mateo Daily Journal with a <br />submission deadline of 2:30 p.m. on September 18, 2019. Copies of the bid notice were emailed to six <br />local dealerships with additional copies available at the Public Works office located at 1400 Broadway, <br />Redwood City, CA 94063.
