8.B. - Page 7 of 63 <br />ENVIRONMENTAL REVIEW <br />This activity is not a project under California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) as defined in CEQA <br />Guidelines, section 15378, because it has no potential for resulting in either a direct or reasonably <br />foreseeable indirect physical change in the environment. <br />PUBLIC NOTICE <br />Public Notification was achieved by posting the agenda, with the agenda items being listed, at least 72 <br />hours prior to the meeting. The notice of the public hearing for the adoption of the California Building and <br />Fire Codes will be published once a week for a period of two successive weeks prior to the proposed public <br />hearing date of November 25, 2019 in a newspaper of general circulation in Redwood City in accordance <br />with California Government Code § 6066. Copies of the state codes being adopted by reference will be <br />kept on file in the Office of the City Clerk open to public inspection. <br />ALTERNATIVES <br />1. Do not adopt the local amendments to the state codes which will result in Redwood City being regulated <br />by the state codes as adopted by the State of California. <br />2.
