To: MAYOR IAN BAIN <br />VICE MAYOR DIANE HOWARD <br />CITY COUNCIL: <br />I am 100% in favor of the Emergency Ordinance, including 8.A. , a., b., c, including both "c.a" and "c.b" <br />, (Just Cause Eviction Protections; and Rent stabilization), as provided in the Staff Report. <br />AB 1482 is critical to achieving equitable situations for renters, but does not become active until January 2020. <br />We need to protect tenants now. <br />We cannot wait 2 months, during which time families, children, senior citizens, medically vulnerable people <br />may be unconscionably and callously evicted, or receive undoable increased rental rate demands. <br />Please help Redwood City's hard working vulnerable population to survive. <br />The Emergency Ordinance will help. <br />Thank You. <br />Sincerely, <br />Julie Pardini <br />
