10/28/2019 <br />WHEREAS, the County of San Mateo's approval of the proposed subdivision <br />and development of Parcel 2 is conditioned upon the property owner obtaining new <br />water and sewer connection services for Parcel 2 from the City; and <br />WHEREAS, the property owner has requested that the City provide water and <br />sewer services to Parcel 2; and <br />WHEREAS, this project is categorically exempt under the California <br />Environmental Quality Act ("CEQA") pursuant to CEQA Guidelines Section 15303(d) <br />(New Construction or Conversion of Small Structures). <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />REDWOOD CITY, AS FOLLOWS: <br />1. The City Manager or her designee is hereby authorized and directed <br />to submit an application to the Local Agency Formation Commission ("LAFCO") <br />requesting approval for water and sewer service connections outside the City's <br />jurisdictional boundaries and within the City's sphere of influence and within the water <br />and sewer service areas to the Property, pursuant to California Government Code <br />Section 56133 of the Cortese -Knox -Hertzberg Local Government Reorganization Act <br />of 2000. <br />2. The water and sewer service connections for the proposed single-family <br />residence at the Property is subject to the following conditions and fees: <br />a) LAFCO approval of the application for the proposed water and sewer <br />service connection; <br />b) Property owner's payment of LAFCO fees; <br />c) After approval of the construction drawings by the San Mateo County <br />Building Department and upon application for new water and sewer <br />service, property owner's payment of all applicable City fees, including <br />connection fees associated with providing proposed water service; <br />ATTY/RESO.0094/CC RESO AUTHORIZING LAFCO FOR EXTENSION OF WATER -1462 EDGEWOOD ROAD RESO.
