DES:d~~ 12/21/95 (058/41) <br /> <br /> O R I G I N A L 1/8/96 <br /> RESOLUTION N0.12677 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BID FOR THE DEMOLITION OF BUILDING <br /> AT 1001 JEFFERSON AVENUE (FORMERLY H & H GUN SHOP); <br /> AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF AGREEMENT FOR SAID WORK; AND <br /> DIRECTING RETURN OF SECURITY DEPOSITS <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 12637, adopted November <br />27, 1995, the City Clerk advertised for bids for the demolition <br />of building (formerly H & H Gun Shop) located at 1001 Jefferson <br />Avenue, Redwood City, California; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to said advertisement, eleven bids were <br />received for the performance of said work and filed with the City <br />Clerk; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Kemen & Son, General Engineering and Demolition <br />Contractors of Paradise, California, is the lowest responsible <br />bidder and it is the intention and desire of this Council to <br />accept said bid of Kemen & Son General Engineering and Demolition <br />Contractors; <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> 1. The bid of Kemen & Son, General Engineering and <br />Demolition Contractors, in the amount of Thirty-one Thousand and <br />No/100 Dollars ($31,000.00), computed in accordance with said <br />bidder's proposal dated December 20, 1995, for the demolition of <br />building at 1001 Jefferson Avenue, is hereby accepted, and said <br />bidder is hereby found and declared to be the lowest responsible <br />bidder for said work. <br /> <br /> <br />
