(1 1/27/95) RESOLUTION NO, 12670 Resolution Approving And Authorizing Execution Of Agreement With Second Harvest Food Bank of Santa Clara and San Mateo Counties/Food Assistance Program WHEREAS, Second Harvest Food Bank of Santa Clara and San Mateo Counties/Food Assistance Program is a private, non-profit agency that provides provides distribution of food to San Mateo County agencies and sites serving women and children, the "working poor", families in transition, the elderly, and disabled on Iow fixed incomes; and WHEREAS, Second Harvest Food Bank of Santa Clara and San Mateo Counties/Food Assistance Program, has requested financial assistance for use by it in conducting its activities during the fiscal year commencing July 1, 1994 and ending June 30, 1995; and WHEREAS, the City of Redwood City has reviewed said request and desires to pay to Second Harvest Food Bank of Santa Clara and San Mateo Counties/Food Assistance Program a private, non-profit agency the sum of Six-Thousand and No/100 Dollars ($6,000.00) and; WHEREAS, an agreement between the City of Redwood City and the Second Harvest Food Bank of Santa Clara and San Mateo Counties/Food Assistance Program has been presented to this council and it is the intention and desire of this Council to approve the same; NOW, THEREFORE; BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, AS FOLLOWS: That certain agreement (form dated 11/27/95), by and between the City of Redwood City and Second Harvest Food Bank of Santa Clara and San Mateo Counties/Food Assistance Program a copy of which agreement is on file in the office of the City Clerk, to which copy reference is hereby made for full particulars thereof, is hereby approved, and the City Manager is hereby authorized and directed to execute the same for and on behalf of the City of Redwood City.
