<br />Appoint City Representative to the San Mateo County Mosquito Abatement District Board
<br />of Trustees

<br />Recommendation
<br />By motion, reappoint former Redwood City Mayor Robert Bury to another term on the
<br />Board of Trustees for the Mosquito Abatement District. This appointment would be for
<br />ensuing term of January 1,' 2008 through December 31, 2011, according to the 2005
<br />California Health and Safety Code, Section 2022:
<br />
<br />"The term of office for a member of the board of trustees shall be for a term of two or four
<br />years, at the discretion of the appointing authority."
<br />
<br />Background
<br />The current term of office for Robert Bury, representative to the Board of Trustees of this
<br />District from the City of Redwood City will expire on December 31,2007. Mr. Bury has
<br />made many valuable contributions and brings years of experience to this position since he
<br />was initially appointed in 1998. Mr. Bury is very interested in continuing to serve of the
<br />Board.

<br />Do not approve the recommendation and make another appointment.
