SPECIAL ORDERS: <br />Presentation: City Clerk Recognition <br />Mayor Pierce read a proclamation honoring City Clerk Patricia Howe and introduced <br />various members of her family present at the meeting. <br />Santa Clara City Clerk Rod Diridon, Jr. presented City Clerk Howe with a gift from the <br />Northern California City Clerks Association and commented on her contributions to the <br />City Clerks profession. <br />Assembly Member Ira Ruskin commended City Clerk Howe for her contributions to the <br />City and City Clerks profession stating that the State proclamation had been presented <br />to her at a previous event. <br />Marcus Dawal,.representing City Clerk Howe's family, commented on her career, family, <br />and plans for the future. <br />Tom Howe spoke about City Clerk Howe and her commitment to Redwood City. <br />Council Members made comments on City Clerk Howe's career in public service and <br />the past 8 years in Redwood City. She was presented with a glass sculpture as a <br />memento. <br />6. ORAL COMMUNICATIONS AND CONSENT CALENDAR - CITY COUNCIL <br />M/S Foust/Ira to waive reading of the Consent Calendar except the ordinances by title, <br />adopt the resolutions and the ordinances, and approve other items.
