An inclined surface, the inclination of which is expressed as a ratio of <br /> horizontal distance to vertical distance. <br /> TERRACE. APPPENDIX J OF THE BUILDING CODED <br /> AMENDED: Section J103, Appendix J of the Building Code is hereby amended to read <br /> as follows: <br /> J183.1 Permi#s required. Excapt as exempted in Section J103.2, no engineered <br /> grading shall be performed without first having obtained a permit therefore fram <br /> the building official. A grading permit does not include the construction of <br /> retaining walls or other structures. <br /> J103.2 Exemptions. A grading permit shall not be required for the failowing: <br /> 1. Grading in an isolated, self-contained area, provided there is no danger to the <br /> pub[ic, and that such grading will not adversely affect adjoining properties and <br /> the amount o€grading is less than 50 cubic yards. <br /> 2.
