This Council finds and determines that pursuant to Section 50022.1 of <br /> the Government Code, the Cify is autharized to adopt the Uniform Codes by reference <br /> and amend same by ordinance. Section 18941.5 of the Heafth and Safety Code <br /> �ravides in part t�at the ordinance adopted by lo�a! enti#iES must take �if��t 18J d�ys <br /> after the pubfication of the Model �rdinance published by the California Building <br /> S#andards Commission {"Cammission"). The date by which the ordinance must take <br /> effect is January 1, 2008. ln the event that the Ordir�ance does nnt take effect by <br /> January 1, 2008, the Uniform Codes, as adopted by the Commission, will be in full force <br /> and effec# in the City of Redwood City.
