DES:dj~ 04/02/96 (091/41) <br /> 0 R I G I N A L 4/15/96 <br /> R E S O L U T I O N N O. 12733 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION AMENDING THE GENERAL PLAN OF THE CITY OF <br /> REDWOOD CITY TO CHANGE THE DESIGNATION OF CERTAIN LANDS <br /> IN THE VICINITY OF FRANKLIN STREET, JEFFERSON AVENUE <br /> MAPLE STREET AND THE RAILROAD RIGHT-OF-WAY FROM "HEAVY <br /> COMMERCIAL" TO "HIGH DENSITY RESIDENTIAL" <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, a proposed amendment to the Redwood City General <br />Plan has been presented to this Council to change the designation <br />in the Land Use Element of the General Plan of the City of <br />Redwood City of certain lands in the vicinity of Franklin Street, <br />Jefferson Avenue, Maple Street and the Railroad Right-of-Way, as <br />specified in Exhibit "A" hereof, attached hereto and incorporated <br />herein by this reference, from the "Heavy Commercial" designation <br />to the "High Density Residential" designation; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, said proposed amendment has been duly reviewed by <br />the Planning Commission of the City of Redwood City and forwarded <br />by said Commission to this Council with a recommendation that <br />said amendment be adopted; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, this Council, after public hearing duly noticed and <br /> <br />held, desires to amend the General Plan in the manner proposed; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> That certain proposed amendment to the Land Use Element of <br />the General Plan of the City of Redwood City revising the <br />designation of those certain lands shown on Exhibit A hereof from <br />the "Heavy Commercial" designation to the "High Density <br />Residential" designation is hereby approved as set forth in said <br />Exhibit. <br /> <br /> <br />
