DES:djk 03/27/96 (004/31) <br /> <br /> -- 0 R I G I N A L 4/15/96 <br /> <br /> R E S O L U T I O N N O. 12725 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BID FOR PURCHASE OF SIXTEEN <br /> TRUCKS; AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF PURCHASE DOCUMENTS <br /> THEREFOR <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of Section 2.65 of the <br />Code of the City of Redwood City, the City Manager caused public <br />notice inviting bids to be published for the purchase of sixteen <br />(16) trucks to be used for municipal purposes; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to said publication two bids were <br /> <br />received; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Fremont Ford of Newark, California is the lowest <br />responsible bidder and it is the intention and desire of this <br /> <br />Council to accept the bid thereof; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> 1. The bid of Fremont Ford, of Newark, California, in the <br />total amount of Two Hundred Sixty-five Thousand One Hundred <br />Seventy-seven and 26/100 Dollars ($265,177.26), computed in <br />accordance with said bidder's proposal dated February 28, 1996, <br />for the sale of sixteen (16) trucks which bid is on file in the <br />office of the City Clerk, to which reference is hereby made for <br />the full particulars thereof, is hereby accepted, and said bidder <br />is hereby found and declared to be the lowest responsible bidder <br />for the sale of said vehicles to the City. <br /> <br /> 2. Any and all informalities in the aforementioned bid of <br />said Fremont Ford are, and each of them is, hereby waived. <br /> <br /> <br />
