WHEREAS, Section 17958.7 of the California Health and Safety Code <br />requires insofar as such changes and additions relate to apartment houses, <br />hotels, motels and dwellings, and buildings and structures necessary thereto, <br />that the governing body of a city, before making any changes and additions, shall <br />make an express finding that such changes and additions are reasonably <br />necessary; <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD <br />CITY, AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> 1. In connection with the adoption of that certain ordinance entitled "An <br />Ordinance Repealing Article II of Chapter 12 of the Code of the City of Redwood <br />City; Adding Article II of Chapter 12 of the Code of the City of Redwood City <br />Relating to Fire Prevention; and Adopting by Reference the 'Uniform Fire Code, <br />1994 Edition' as Published by the International Conference of Building Officials <br />and the Western Fire Chiefs Association," it is hereby expressly found and <br />determined that modifications, deletions, and additions made to the aforesaid <br />Fire Code as set forth in the Ordinance entitled "An Ordinance Repealing Article <br />II of Chapter 12 of the Code of the City of Redwood City; Adding Article II of <br />Chapter 12 to the Code of the City of Redwood City Relating to Fire Prevention; <br />and Adopting by Reference the "Uniform Fire Code, 1994 Edition," as Published <br />by the International Conference of Building Officials and The Western Fire <br />Chiefs Association" are reasonably necessary to provide for a system of fire <br />protection which will help to control the spread of fire and limit the threat of <br /> <br />RESO-3 2 <br />FXS:rg <br />10/24/95 <br /> <br /> <br />
