<br />7A <br />Page 8 <br /> <br />3. Cemetery graves. <br />4. Refuse disposal sites controlled by other regulations. <br />5. Excavations for wells, or trenches for utilities. <br />6. Mining, quarrying. excavating, processing or stockpiling rock, sand, gravel, <br />aggregate or clay controlled by other regulations, provided such operations <br />do not affect the lateral support of, or significantly increase stresses in, soil on <br />adjoining properties. <br />7. Exploratory excavations performed under the direction of a registered design <br />professional. <br /> <br />Exemption from the permit requirements of this appendix shall not be deemed to <br />grant authorization for any work to be done in any matter in violation of the <br />provisions of this code or any other laws or ordinances of this jurisdiction. <br /> <br />J103.3. Grading Fees. At the time of filing for a gradings permit, the applicant <br />shall deposit funds to cover the costs of plan checking. Prior to plan approval, <br />additional fees shall be deposited to cover the costs of inspection. The plan <br />checking and inspection deposit amounts and City costs shall be established by <br />resolution of the City Council. Separate plan review and permit fees shall apply to <br />retaining walls or major drainage structures as required elsewhere in this code. <br />(Ord. No. 2241,92, 12-5-2002) <br /> <br />Sec. 9.87. APPENDIX J OF THE BUILDING CODE AMENDED: Appendix J of <br />the Building Code is hereby amended to insert the words 'City Engineer' at all locations <br />in this appendix chapter where the words 'Building Official' are found. <br />(Ord. No. 2241, 92,12-5-2002) <br /> <br />Sees. 9.88 - 9.103. RESERVED." <br /> <br />SECTION 5. Article VI of Chapter 9 of the Redwood City Code is hereby added to read <br />as follows: <br /> <br />"ARTICLE VI. MECHANICAL CODE <br />Sec. 9.104. ADOPTION BY REFERENCE; CONFLICTING PROVISIONS: <br /> <br />A. Pursuant to Section 50022.1, et seq., of the Government Code and <br />Section 15 of the Charter of the City of Redwood City, the Uniform <br />Mechanical Code, 2006 Edition, as published by the International <br />Association of Plumbing and Mechanical Officials is hereby adopted and <br />shall be in effect within the City of Redwood City to the same extent as if <br />set out in full herein except as expressly amended by the provisions of this <br />Article. <br /> <br />B. In the event of any conflict between the provisions of the Uniform <br />Mechanical Code, 2006 Edition, hereinafter referred to as the Mechanical <br /> <br />Atty/Ord/Ord.291 <br />120307 6 <br />
